The Trump administration ended the parole function of the CBP One app
EXCLUSIVE: The Trump administration is launching a new app to replace the controversial CBP One app with the new replacement aimed at making it easier for illegal immigrants to self-deport.
The Department of Homeland Security is unveiling the CBP Home app -- which will debut with a self-deportation reporting tool for illegal residents.
It supersedes the CBP One app, which was broadened by the Biden administration to enable migrants to make appointments at ports of entry to be paroled into the U.S. Hundreds of thousands were paroled into the U.S. as a result. The Trump administration has shut down the capability to utilize the app for that reason.
All CBP One apps will be upgraded to the new CBP Home app.

"The Biden Administration used the CBP One App to facilitate over 1 million aliens to illegally enter the United States. Now, with the release of the CBP Home App, we are putting integrity back into our immigration system," DHS Secretary Kristi Noem stated in a statement.
The application enables aliens to "Submit Intent to Depart" and submit data about their intention to leave the U.S. They are also able to give information to confirm that they have departed the U.S., a feature restricted to aliens paroled into the U.S.
"The CBP Home App provides aliens the choice to leave now and self-deport, so they might still have the chance to return legally in the future and experience the American dream. If they don't, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return," Noem stated.

Tthe Trump administration quickly acted to increase deportations and also reduced the level of migrants coming into the U.S., including through humanitarian parole, which was greatly increased during the Biden administration.
Trump stopped the use of the CBP One app to parole migrants on his inauguration day. His administration has also suspended requests for parole programs, and permitted ICE to terminate parole status of migrants.
